Reawakening the Dark

Premiere at Kilowatt Festival (Sansepolcro, IT) on 21 & 22 July 2026

Step into the night and rediscover the sky! Reawakening the Dark is a sensory immersive installation that explores light pollution, stargazing, and our fading connection to the cosmos. Seated on loungers around a central sculptural structure, visitors are enveloped in a recreated night sky, one where the natural has almost disappeared behind artificial light.

Through video mapping and a touch of AI, the installation reveals how light pollution disrupts ecosystems, wastes energy, and weakens our bond with the universe. An invitation to slow down, wonder, and reflect on ecological balance and the shared magic of true darkness.
